Nicholas Scott-Burt is one of the UK’s leading classical piano improvisers. His highly successful Extempore Concerts are unique, in that the music played at each one has never been heard before and will never be heard again!

Concert promoters have the opportunity to collaborate with him in choosing material to inspire his extemporisations. He may be asked to respond to poetry, prose or dramatic readings, or perhaps to paintings or photographs projected on a screen, or simply to depict moods or abstract events, chosen by the audience. He will have discussed the content in broad terms before the day, but any detail is left until a few minutes before the recital - so the result is spontaneous and unique.
