Shirley Scott has been connected with the music world for all of her professional life. She spent over 20 years working on music programmes for the BBC. In her last 10 years there, she was a religious programmes producer specialising in music and worship, and gained a reputation for creative programming and attention to detail.
After leaving the BBC, Shirley and her husband David created Peartree Productions, a successful independent production house that made programmes for the BBC, and produced music CDs. Peartree Productions wound down when David retired.
Shirley has also worked in events management and concert promotion, and is a professionally trained singer. She has sung in London church choirs, and joined Ex Cathedra after moving to the English Midlands.
She has performed with Ex Cathedra all over the UK, and at a number of European music festivals.
Her experience and many continuing contacts in all these areas, along with an infectious enthusiasm, led to the creation in 2006 of Shirley Scott Music Management.
